Earlier this year Felix Sperling was honoured for his long-standing achievements as curator of the E. H. Strickland Entomological Museum and his advocacy of collections-based research. As curator, Felix has helped establish the museum as one of the foremost entomological collections in Canada, and an essential part of the entomological community both within and beyond Alberta. Felix’s work has helped bridge the gap between professional and amateur entomologists, fostering collaboration, a sense of community, and most importantly, passion for all things entomological. Visit the Strickland museum here, and check out the full announcement of Felix’s induction into the Hall of Fame here. Congratulations Felix!
